This book serves as an introduction to Clifford algebra, covering both the theory and calculations using the algebra, with many worked and computed examples at varying levels of complexity over a range of different applications. With a deliberately low entry point to the theory of Clifford algebra that relies heavily on diagrams and avoids equations wherever possible, the book is accessible to practitioners whose aim is to understand and use Clifford algebra in the course of their work. There are many practical examples, discussed in detail, graded from simple to sophisticated. In addition, the book documents the Clifford Numerical Suite, developed by the author to overcome the limitations of existing computational packages and to enable the rapid deployment of sophisticated and efficient code to apply Clifford algebra to real problems. Applications for the suite include Fourier transforms for arrays of any types of Clifford numbers, and the solution of linear systems in which the coefficients are Clifford numbers of particular types, including scalars, bicomplex numbers, quaternions, Pauli matrices and extended electromagnetic fields. As such, the book provides access to both conceptual and computational tools which can solve more effectively certain classes of computational problems encountered in engineering.
