This book provides a comprehensive overview of discourse in the field of Anglophone African oral literary performance studies. Through a collection of essays by some of the most distinguished scholars in the field from across the globe, the book offers a comprehensive interdisciplinary examination in the study of texts and contexts of oral performance in Africa; orality and African modernities; popular culture; the African diasporas, and globalization.
