图书简介
This edited volume, co-published with the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, presents comprehensive international discussion of key issues and future directions within the forensic sciences.?Written by accomplished and respected specialists in approximately eleven distinct areas of the forensic sciences, the volume will examine central issues within each discipline, provide perspective on current debate and explore current and proposed research initiatives.?The volume will provide the forensically involved international community with current in-depth perspective on the key issues in the contemporary practice of the forensic sciences. The forensic sciences represent dynamic and evolving fields presenting new challenges to a rapidly expanding cohort of international practitioners.?The proposed book is needed to acquaint readers with the complex issues involved and how they are being addressed.?The academic treatment by experts in the fields will ensure comprehensive and thorough understanding of these issues and pave the way for future research and progress. Key features of this book will include academic treatment of issues within all major areas of the forensic sciences, sponsorship by the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, international perspective and chapters written by experienced?leaders in the forensic sciences. The AAFS is the largest multidisciplinary forensic organization in the world. As outlined in the proposal members of the academy also belong to all the major forensic organizations for their specific disciplines and in most cases have been leaders within these organizations. This is a unique opportunity for Wiley-Blackwell to collaborate with the AAFS to strengthen the relationship we already have through the Journal of Forensic Science and through the book programme. This could potentially lead to more collaborative projects with the AAFS in the future.
