Multiscale Biomechanics: Theory and Applications comprehensively covers the theoretical and computational bases of multiscale methods in biomechanical applications. It introduces new developments and covers various multiscale methods which are adopted for simulation of biomechanics applications. Hard and soft tissues, bio-fluids and cellular problems in different length scales are discussed in dedicated chapters. Each chapter begins with a discussion on the physiological issues of the specific category of bio-problem, and is followed by the theoretical and numerical solution procedure. Then, the most appropriate multiscale techniques are examined with detailed implementation. Several practical multiscale biomechanical simulations are presented to demonstrate the practical applicability of proposed multiscale methods for analysis of bio-systems.
