The University of Nebraska Press has been publishing prestigious and award-winning literature for seventy-five years, but this contest is a first for the Press. In celebration of its seventy-fifth anniversary, the Press has collected an anthology of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry written by Nebraska undergraduate college students and high school seniors in the theme of Voices of Nebraska: Diverse Landscapes, Diverse Peoples. Drawing from their experiences with nature, familytraditions, and history, the budding writers selected forthis volume are officiallyjoining the ranks of the Press s countless published writers, every one of whom has helped shape both the Press and the state of Nebraska."
