This book represents an innovative approach to the evaluation and assessment of various oral diseases and describes common as well as relatively uncommon disease states. It allows the reader to rationally and systematically diagnose and manage diseases in the oral and maxillofacial region including temporomandibular disorders, pulp and periodontal diseases, granulomatous disorders and salivary gland disorders. Information is given on odontogenic and non-odontogenic cysts, fibro-cemento osseous lesions, oral mucosal ulcerations, reactive lesions and benign tumors of the oral mucosa, infections of the oral cavity, and oral manifestations of autoimmune and hematological disorders. An unbiased and simplified diagnostic algorithm is provided for different oral diseases and self-assessment questions are provided in every chapter. The text is supplemented with high resolution, clinical radiographic and histopathological images.
