The majority of the hardware oriented chapters are dedicated to discussing the most relevant recent developments in this field, including miniaturized inductive detectors such as waveguides, wirebonded coils, inkjet printed coils and broadband coils for multinuclei detection as well as high-sensitivity non-inductive detectors for force detected magnetic resonance and optically detected magnetic resonance. The remainder of the chapters in the book discusses the most recent developments in interventional NMR and implantable NMR sensors, as well as in using CMOS technology to manufacture miniaturized, highly scalable NMR detectors for NMR microscopy and high-throughput arrays of NMR spectroscopy detectors.
