图书简介
The Global Practice of Forensic Science examines the practice of forensic science between around 30 countries from across five continents.  Each chapter presents the history, training, structure, types of cases examined, challenges and future directions for the practice of forensic science in the corresponding country.  Primary authors are leaders of forensic science in their countries and have broad experience and perspectives on the practice of forensic science.  The goals of this volume are to examine in detail international patterns and variation in the reality of practice of forensic science.  Each primary author emphasizes the area of forensic science of their specialty (e.g. forensic pathology) but, through the use of coauthors or their own expertise, will also provide an overview of most or all areas of the forensic sciences in their own region.  Attention will be devoted to the structure of practice, especially the extent to which perspectives from different disciplines are integrated either in formal reports or in overall interpretations.  Volume expectations include broad overviews of common issues of funding, training, recruitment, the types of case applications, technology, and interdisciplinary interaction.   This book represents a major intellectual examination of the history, current patterns and variation of the practice of forensic science in the world.   This book will be the first title in the new collaborative book series with the American Academy of Forensic Science. The series will be called Forensic Science in Focus and the series editor will be Professor Ubelaker.
