A book focusing on the population biology and behavioural ecology of feral pigeons. Feral pigeons have developed from domestic pigeons, but are not just domestic pigeons that live in the wild. A major urban pest species, living in close association with man but with the characteristics of highly adapted wild birds, feral pigeons have been relatively little studied heretofore, although the domesticated pigeon has long been one of the major bird models for laboratory studies.
